Derkacz, Nestor. (Derkach; Deheacn); b.May 11, 1917, Holy Oak, Massachusetts (Ukraine); Ukrainian American; Education 7 years primary school; Single; Bridge foundry worker and Blacksmith; CP of Spain November 26, 1938; received passport# 433720 on June 4, 1937 which listed his address as 118 South 3rd Street; Brooklyn, New York; Sailed June 16, 1937 aboard the Aquitania; Arrived in Spain on July 3, 1937; Served with the XV BDE, Mackenzie-Papineau BN, MG Co.; Lincoln-Washington BN; Last unit Mackenzie-Papineau, Machine gun Company; Returned to the US on December 20, 1938 aboard the Ausonia, d. January 1970, Massachusetts.
